An annual output of 5,000 tons of new solvent regenerated bamboo fiber textile materials production line has successfully put into operation in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. New solvent regenerated bamboo fiber textile technology from the CAS Institute of Chemistry and Fujian Hongyuan Group Co., Ltd., joint research completed.

INTRODUCTION

New solvent manufacturing fiber spinning technology to solve the key technology, high-grade fabric and color fastness to remove fibrillation, reduce shrinkage, and all other process control problem, now control only a small number of developed countries. The project developed from bamboo pulp as raw material for new solvent of cellulose fiber production process is a national initiative, self-designed set of process route and dissolved, deaeration, filters and other key equipment, innovative, has a complete independent intellectual property rights. The project has been included in the new central government investment in 2009, industrial projects, major science and technology projects in Fujian Province, has been for 8 patents.

ADVANTAGES
    First, the short production process and environmental protection, can replace the existing domestic and foreign products commonly used bamboo viscose fiber spinning process for the production. The new technology uses a certain percentage of new solvents dissolve the bamboo cellulose pulp directly, so that the bamboo pulp dissolution time shortened from 40 hours to 8 hours, made of spinning solution, reduce energy consumption and pollution reduction. Annual output of 5,000 tons of new solvent regenerated bamboo fiber compared with the existing technology can reduce about 2,000 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions.
    Second, the new solvent for domestic initiative. The new solvent is made of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, the concentration of 50% to 60% of the N-methyl morpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) solution. Its toxicity and harmful to humans, but up to 93% solvent recovery, lower production costs. Prior to this, NMMO totally dependent on imported and expensive.
    Third, the production process are self-critical equipment design. The production process is the key to dissolving, defoaming, filtration and other equipment are self-innovative design, with complete independent intellectual property rights, but also to solve the dry-jet wet spinning of the key technologies and difficult.

PROSPECT
    According to reports, annual output of 5,000 tons of new solvent regenerated bamboo fiber textile materials production line can realize annual output value of 140 million yuan.
