 Property: Soda ash is a hygroscopic product, absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide in the air, forming acid salt NaHCO3. It cakes, when stored in the open air. Water solutions of soda ash have a strong alkali reaction.

Usages: soda ash is used in the production of different kinds of glass, including crystal, lens, medical glass, glass blocks, glass fibre, sodium silicate soluble, tiles, frit for glaze; in ferrous and non-ferrous metal industry: for the production of lead, zinc, tungsten, strontium, chromium, for desulphurization and dephosphation of iron, for purification of waste gas, for neutralization of media.
