Know the Filters of Dust Mask
1. There’re mainly 4 filters for dust mask, spun bond non woven (the first one), active carbon non woven (the second one), melt blown non woven (the third one) and acupuncture non woven (the last one)
2. The most important filters are the second & third ones, the other two are mainly for protection & shape setting
How to Define the Quality of Non Woven Dust Mask
(1) Look it: color of the superior is uniform, the inferior is mottled for used material bleaching
(2) Smell it: the superior is odorless, the inferior smell bad
(3) Touch it: the active carbon content of third filter is 30%-40%, and there're black particles when you touch it, the inferior one has no particles, and the carbon content is lower
(4) Burn it: there is particle with spark rising when you burn the second filter
(5) Touch it: the melt blown filter is soft, and 40-55g/m2. The bad one is tough
