Nature:Achromatous crystals.It is freely soluble in water and produces white deposits with SO4 and CO2.It is a noxious substance and its specific gravity is 3.15 and melting point is 860°C.
Applications:used in manufacturing barium salts,photosensitive materials,used in tannage,mechanical quenching.electrolysis,and used as water softener,and etc.
