water tank thermostat is working in the water thank of car, to control the water temperature. When the water temperature of engine exceeds the prescribed limit, it might cause more oil consumption and damage of some parts. Then, the thermostat senses the temperature and open the valve, the hot water will flow through the cooling system and cool the engine. When the water temperature is back to normal value, the thermostat will close the valve.
