Drum dryer has features of large capacity, wide range of application, big flow and small resistance, big allowed fluctuation range on operation, convenient operation. It is usually used for drying sand, mineral powder, coal slime, chicken manure, cow dung etc.

Work principle:

The material is sent to hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then across hopper of the charging machine and through feeding pipeline into the charging part. The slope of feeding pipe should be bigger than the materials’ angle of crater so the materials can smoothly into sand dryer. Dryer’s cylinder is a rotary cylinder which forms a slightly slop with the horizontal line. The materials are put from a higher side; heat-carrying agent enters from a lower side, so forms countercurrent contact with materials. Sometimes, heat-carrying agent and materials also can flow into the cylinder together. With the rotating of cylinder, the materials move to a lower end by gravity. In the moving ahead process, Wet materials in the cylinder body directly or indirectly obtained the heat form the heat-carrying agent, made the wet materials drier, and then the dry material is sent out at discharging head through belt conveyor or screw conveyor. There is a shoveling plate in the cylinder body. It is used for putting up the materials then put down, so the contact surface between materials and flow become bigger, so that improve dry rate and promote materials move ahead. Generally, the heat-carrying agent is divided into hot air, flue-gas etc. After the heat-carrying agent crossed the dryer, it should through the cyclone dust separation for collecting the materials which is in the gas. If you want to reduce the dustiness of tail gas by a further step, bag filter and dust washer is your best choice.
