In order not to damage device and SD card, DO NOT TURN OFF POWER AND PULL OUT SD CARD WHEN THE DEVICE IS RECORDING!  PLEASE ISSUE "STOP RECORDING" COMMAND TO DEVICE BEFORE PULL OUT SD CARD! (The command of "stop recording" can be issued to device by the PC Demo we supplied or via serial interface command).

General Description:
ZM-PCB-02 is a standard DVR Module with Serial Interface Control, it can be easily integrated into 51 and ARM platform or any other embedded system to record video and snapshot JPEG picture, no need to change the original firmware, so as to reduce the difficulty of developing image acquisition independent for user.

 

Function Description:

1.Video Input: 1-ch video input (On board a 1.3MP CMOS Camera)

2.Video Output: no video output
3.On board SD card (up to 32GB) to save video and image
4.Motion detection: motion detection area can be set by user via PC Demo or serial command. Once the image (environment) changing reaches the pre-set level, the module can be set to snapshot JPEG picture or record video actively.

5.Size of Snapshot Picture: 1280*1024 640*480 320*240 160*120 optional
6.Snapshot Method: by motion detection or serial interface commands.
7.Video Recording Method: by motion detection or serial interface commands.
8.OSD: time & date and any other 56 AS2C characters can be overlaid onto picture and video.

I/O Introduction:

 

Note: All the output voltage level is 3.3V, output power max. 20mA

 

Output Port:
Out 1: Indicate open or close status of motion detection, High voltage lever (H) indicating open motion detection.Low voltage level (L) indicating close motion diction.

Out 2: Motion detection triggers pulse output, and pulse output waveforms is referred to"Diagram one"

 

Out 3: Motion detection triggers voltage level output, and high voltage level means motion diction is triggered. Level

output is referred to"Diagram two".

Out 4: Reserved, user can customize desired function
GND: Power "-"
VCC: Power "+", DC+5V
Input Port:
Note: Only the high voltage level is valid in all signals and only an input signal is high voltage level at the same time.

IN1: Start recording video (auto-stop recording after 60seconds, this time can be set via serial commands)

IN2: Stop recording video
IN3: Snapshot picture(auto-snapshot picture and keep it stored in SD card)

IN4: Close or open motion detection
GND: Power "-"
VCC: Power “+", DC+5V
For example:


When IN1 is connected to VCC, device is triggered to start recording.

When IN2 is connected to VCC, device is triggered to stop recording.

When IN3 is connected to VCC, device is triggered to snapshot picture.

 

Operation Procedure:


1.Please examine whether the data line is plugged in the correct socket before power on
2.Insert SD card into the SD card slot
3.Make sure the camera is connected to the correct channel, the default working channel is the first channe
4.Examine whether the monitor is connected to video output port

5.The two led indicate lights will be on (red color) when the module is powered on, after about 30ms, the two led lights will be off. Please note this is normal phenomenon. You can start to operate the module after the two led lights are off.
6.When picture is capturing,  the D3 will flicker (red color),  when video is recording onto SD card, D2 will flicker (red color) also.

7.Video file folder is named as DATE, video file and picture is named as TIME.
