AAC Cable (All Aluminum Conductor):

 

Standard: DIN 48201  NIS231  BS215 PART 1:1970

Specification: aac are composed by bare concentric-lay-standed aluminum wires with a straight round central aluminum wire  surrounded by one or more layers of helically layed aluminum wires.

Application:

*AAC are used in overhead power transmission and distribution lines with various grade voltages.

*Under the same weight,AAC is with higher DC resistance and lower costthan copper conductor.

*Aluminum is light and is easy to lay.
  
Manufacturing Standard: ASTM B231 B232, BS 215 , DIN 48201, CSA C49,NFC 34120

We can also manufacture AAC Cable according to customers special requirements.

 

Stranded 1350 aluminum conductors shown in this section of data are classified, as follows: 

 

Class AA 

For bare conductors usually used in overhead lines.

Class A 

For conductors to be covered with weather-resistant materials and for bare conductors where greater flexibility is required.

Class B 

For conductors to be insulated with various materials and for conductors indicated under Class A where greater flexibility is required. 

Class C 

For conductors where greater flexibility is required

 

Compact strand conductor for use in bare overhead applications or for use with weather-resistant coverings or insulations is also available.

 

Note: Classes refer to stranding and are an indication of relative conductor flexibility, AA being the least flexible, C the most flexible

 

 

AAC bare conductors meet or exceed the following ASTM specifications:

B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1350-H119 for Electrical Purposes
B-231 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded
B-400 Compact Round Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum 1350 Conductors concentrically stranded.
