Description
It is a butyle ester of L(+) lactic acid that deriving from bio-fermentation of sugar like carbohydrate. It is a colorless transparent liquid, It is soluble in ethanol, aether, acetone, esters and some other organic solvents, and it is partly soluble in water.
Application:
Mainly used as for raw materials chiral pharmaceuticals, pesticides and veterinary drugs and other chiral products. Butyl lactate is also widely used in paints, coatings, plastics and other fields as high-quality environment-friendly high boiling point solvents.
