Backed up by the advantageous resources and technology of China Petrochemical Baling Branch, our company produces a line of environmental solvents through the addition of C4 mixtures and acetic acid as the raw material using our own technology. This technology has won three state invention patents.
Sec-butyl acetate is one of the 4 isomers of butyl acetate, which is an achromatic, inflammable and fruit-tasting liquid, and soluble to a variety of resins and organic matters. Its properties resemble other isomers under most circumstances. The biggest difference when it is used as solvent lies in its lower boiling point than common n-butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate, featuring fast evaporation.

Storage
Store in cool, well ventilate area. Keep away from sorces of ignition and heat. Temperature in storehouse should be no more than 30 °C. Keep container tightly sealed, keep away from direct sunlight. Avoid acids bases and oxidizers.
Applications:
(1) Used as paint solvent. In terms of the properties, sec-butyl acetate is similar to n-butanol acetate and isobutyl acetate. It is well soluble to many matters, and can be used to
substitute butanol acetate and isobutyl acetate to make solvents such as nitrocellulose lacquer,
acrylic paint, and polyurethane paint. It can also be used as quick dry agent for
photosensitive material. In metallic finishes, butanol acetate can be used to dissolve cellulose
acetate butyrate.
(2) Used as a solvent during the course to make synthetic resin.
(3) Used as a solvent during the course to make paint solidifiers.
(4) Used as a thinner, which is an ideal component to lower costs, and toxicity during the course
to make thinners such as Tiana, banana oil, etc.
(5) Used in ink. It can be used as a volatile solvent when making printing ink, replacing n-butanol acetate.
(6) Used as a solvent replacing n-butanol acetate when making cohesive.
