I. The Installation of Virtual Fingerprint Disk Software

First, run the installer to begin the installation, as the picture shown below, after the installer start, it comes to the welcome page, and click "Next"

Second, select the installation location, and then click "Next" to continue the installation. 

Third, click "Install" to continue the installation.  

Fourth, the installation is complete, select to restart the computer, and click "Finish" button, as the picture shown below:

II. The Establishment of Fingerprint Files 

When it is the first time to use Virtual Fingerprint HD (hard disk) Software, it will prompt the user to establish a fingerprint file. The operation is as shown below, press the fingerprint on the reader with the one same finger three to five times in accordance with the screen instructions.

After the first fingerprint file is created, the other shall be pressed to create a second fingerprint file.

After the completion of fingerprint files, click "Next" to start fingerprint boot settings.

If you need to start fingerprinting boot function, please enter the Windows user name and password, then click "OK" button, otherwise click "Cancel".
Start fingerprint boot function and Windows XP will be in use after the restart, while Windows 7 and Vista can be in use immediately.

III. The Use of Virtual Fingerprint Disk

First, right-click the tray icon, as the picture shown below, and select "Create Fingerprint Disk" in the pop-up menu.

Second, select "Create A New Fingerprint Disk" in the pop-up window, and then click "Next".

Third, specify the fingerprint disk file save location, and then click "Next".

Fourth, specify the size and drive letters of the fingerprint disk. If you want to create another fingerprint for the fingerprint disk, please click "Create Fingerprint", otherwise the fingerprint disk will use the fingerprint of the current system. Click "Next" after the settings.

Fifth, format the fingerprint disk. Please enter the volume label used to identify the fingerprint disk, and then click "Format".

Sixth, the fingerprint disk has been created successfully, click "Finish".

The new fingerprint is now in "My Computer", and you can use it  like a normal disk for the file operations of create, copy, paste.

 Open Fingerprint Disk

Left-click the tray icon, click the fingerprint disk you want to open in the pop-up menu, and then verify the fingerprint that binds to the fingerprint disk. Open the fingerprint disk right after verification.

 Close Fingerprint Disk

Left-click the tray icon and click the fingerprint disk  you want to close in the pop-up menu.

Load the Uninstalled Fingerprint Disk

Virtual Fingerprint HD (hard disk) Software can reload the uninstalled fingerprint disk, and the operation steps are as follows:

First, right-click the tray icon, as the picture shown below, select "Create Fingerprint Disk" in the pop-up menu.

Second, select " Load the Uninstalled Fingerprint Disk " in the pop-up window, and then click "Next".

Third, select the uninstalled fingerprint disk file.

Fourth, verify the fingerprint of the fingerprint disk. Before loading, it is necessary to verify the fingerprint that has been bound to the fingerprint disk, and load only after verification.

Fifth, click “Load” button to load.

Uninstall Fingerprint Disk

If a fingerprint disk is no longer used, it can be uninstalled, the operation is as follows:

As the picture shown below, right-click the tray icon, select the fingerprint disk that is about to be uninstalled in the pop-up menu, and click "Uninstall".

Then verify the fingerprint that binds to the fingerprint disk, and the fingerprint disk will be uninstalled after verification.

IV. System Settings 

Right-click the tray and select "Settings" in the pop-up menu, as the picture shown below:

General Settings

General settings include the power-on running setup that is used to set up whether to run automatically Virtual Fingerprint HD (hard disk) Software when power-on.

Fingerprint Modification

The fingerprint modification page can modify the power-on fingerprint i.e. system fingerprint and default binding the system fingerprint when a new fingerprint disk is created. Here the fingerprint modification refers to modifying the fingerprint of the current system, but the setup fingerprint disk is not affected.

Fingerprint Power-On

Open the fingerprint power-on page, the users can choose to start or cancel the fingerprint power-on, and can also change the current binding Windows account.

 Fingerprint Disk List 

On the fingerprint disk page you can view the current fingerprint disk file save location, and click one fingerprint disk it can prompt the intact file save path.
