Physical and chemical properties   

White crystalline powder, soluble in ethanol (5ml / g), propane and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in most of the non-volatile oil, 1g soluble in 72ML of water, soluble in boiling water.It is easy to sublimate ,resolve under atmospheric distillation and changes color when meeting with alkali and iron.

 

Sensory property

Nut-like sweet flavor, maple or lovage-like scent. It appears licorice flavor similar to maple sugar in its diluted solution. With sweet flavor in rich aroma, it is charming, pleasant and enjoyable.

 

Presence of natural
