ROOT FURNITURE  TABLE  SOLID WOOD

This unique furniture is crafted from the roots of pine or hemlock trees. Each piece is totally different depending on the shape of the wood and the imagination of the sculptor, the root may become an abstract coffee table, chair etc. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The root balls are dug out by hand which can take up to months. Then taken back to a south China village, where the carvers then interpret the design and the quantity of benches and other products the will get out of the one root ball, Nothing is wasted. The carving is hand made and it takes up to 2 months, all done by experienced sculptors from Vietnam.
