 Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin, which is vulnerable to ultraviolet radiation. So when fresh vegetables are stored under normal room temperature for 2~3 days, the amount of folic acid would lose 5070%. 5095% of the folic acid in food is disrupted during cooking. Folic acid can be used as a health food additive to be added in infant milk powder. Folic acid, also known as Vitamin M, is an essential food ingredient in our food supply. 

Properties: A yellow or orange yellow crystalline powder, odourless and tasteless,insoluble in water, ethanol, acetone, chloroform and ether, but freely soluble in dilute solutions of alkali hydroxides or carbonates.
