[Description]  White tablets.

 

[Indications]

1.     Leucopenia due to various kinds of causes, such as radioactivity, antitumor drug, etc. 

2.     Other leucopenia due to unknown cause.

 

[Strength] 20mg

 

[Dosage and Administration]

For oral administration.

1.      Adults: 50~150mg (2.5~7.5 Tablets) per day divided for 3 times, Take 4~6 weeks as one course of treatment.

2.      Children: 1~2mg /kg per time, 3 times per day.

 

[Adverse Reaction]

For therapeutic dose, occasionally occurs dry mouth or increased borborygmus.

 

[Contraindications]

[Warnings and Precautions]

1.      The clinical effects are related with dosage. Either underdose or overdose affects the treatment. Therefore the best dosage should be searched.

2.      Batilol tablets have a good curative effects on the patients who have short course of disease, not serious pathogenetic condition and good function of bone marrow.

3.      Peripheral blood routine examination should be carried during medication.

Pregnant women and nursing mothers can use this medicine.

Batilol tablets can be used for the aged.

[Overdose]

Overdose of Batilol tablets may cause diarrhea (but specific range of dosage is not determined). 

 

[Pharmacology and Toxicology]

Batilol is α- positive octadeca-glycerylether which is the inherent substance existing in the animal body. It may be one of internal haemopoiesis factors contained more in the haemopoiesis tissue of bone marrow. It has effects on promoting accrementition of leucocyte, resisting radioactive ray, and also antagonistic effect on hematopoietic system inhibition due to benzene poisoning or cytotoxic drugs.
