Air-source Water Heater is also known as Heat-pump Water Heater. The working element is as following: The heat in the low-temperature (low quality) heat source can be transferred to the high-temperature heat source by consuming a certain quantity of high quality energy. Then the total quantity of heat available includes the heat transforming from the high quality energy and the heat absorbed from the low-temperature heat source. The heat pump is not a transforming device of heat; it is only a transferring device of heat, instead. So, the working efficiency is not governed by the limit of transferring ratio (100% at most). The heat pump use the heat-absorbing medium (cold medium) to collect heat from the air or the environment, heat up the cold water through the heat-exchanger and give off cold air at the same time.

Air-source Water Heater can remedy the defect of the traditional solar water heater, which can not work on cloudy, rainy, snowy days at night.  Air-source Water Heater can work properly when the environmental temperature rises up to -15°C, it is more efficient and energy-saving. What’s more, it does not occupy any space in the open air, and easy to install, easy to use. The water is completely separated from electricity, it is safe in operation. The working life could be as long as 15 years.
