Principle:

Erbium Yag laser are solid-state lasers, it typically emit light with a wavelength of 2940nm,  which is infrared, and the frequency of Er:Yag laser is strongly absorbed by water nearly 100% 

because of its absorption peak. 

The human skin contains lots of water, so the tissue absorbs the energy rapidly and reaches to 

a very high temperature which can vaporize the affected tissue immediately.

 As fractional laser, it ensures the surrounding skin not be affected when laser passes,
