Semiconductor (LED) chips emitting light, free of filament, free of glass bulb, solid state packaging, a sort of cold light source.  It’s convenient to transport and installation. It can be mounted in any micro and enclosed equipment,regardless of vibration.  Heat dispersion may be omitted basically. It’s not breakable. The service life can be as long as 50,000 hours.

With regard to conventional fluorescent lamps, the service life of homemade ones is usually less than 3000 hours because of quality and technical problems. Among the imported ones, Philips is the best, whose service life can reach 3000~4000 hours. One LED lamp is equal to ten conventional fluorescent lamps. The maintenance expense and corresponding inconvenience are the most obvious contrast.
