4 Cell safety performance
Item Testing condition
Performance
requirement
4.1 Impact
Fix a standard and charged cell onto the vibration bench, vibrate
in directions X, Y and Z respectively for 30 minutes at an
amplitude of 1.6mm, vibration frequency of 10Hz~55Hz, and
1Hz for each minute.
There should be no evident
damage, breaking, liquid
leakage, smoking or
explosion.
4.2 Falling
Let a standard and charged cell fall onto the concrete ground
twice at a height of one meter.
There should be no liquid
leakage, smoking, fire or
explosion with the battery
4.3 Constant
humidity
and
thermal
performan
ce
After the battery is fully charged, place it in a constant humidity
and temperature cabinet with a temperature of 40ºC±2ºC, and a
relative humidity of 90%-95% for 48 hours. After the experiment
is finished, place the battery in an environment with a
temperature of 20 ºC±5 ºC for two hours, and then check the
appearance of the battery. Discharge the battery at a constant
current of 1C5A, until the ending voltage of 2.75V is reached.
There should be no evident
distortion, rusting, smoking
or explosion for the battery,
and the battery discharge
duration should be ≥36min
4.4 Low
temperature
performance
After the battery is fully charged, place it in a low temperature
cabinet with a constant temperature of -10ºC±2ºC, for 16 to 24
hours, and discharge the battery to the ended voltage of 2.75V at
a current of 0.2C5A. After the experiment is finished, place the
battery in an environment with a temperature of 20 ºC±5 ºC for
two hours, and then check the appearance of the battery.
There should be no
distortion, smoking or
explosion for the battery,
and the battery discharge
duration should be ≥3h
