Floors are decked using 2 layers of 18mm plywood, which is treated with 2 neat applications of PCI primer G waterproofing agent, to prevent any moisture ingress from inside the pod, on top of which the finished Ceramic or floor covering is laid. Throughout the pod a tanking system is applied which effectively seals the joints between the walls and floor and so guarantees that no moisture or water can unduly escape. All walls consist of 15mm moisture resistant high-density fire line plasterboard or in the case of Kitchens a 15mm Plasterboard pre-laminated onto a 15mm Plywood for fixing purposes. In all areas this board is further treated with 1 diluted coat of waterproofing agent. In areas where water Penetration is considered a risk if the surface membrane should break down i.e. Ceramic tiling or Glass panels an application of PCI Lastogum is applied which is a fully waterproof protective membrane, accompanied by an expansion allowing rubber tape, which protects board joints.
