The zinc powder with density7.14g/cm³,melting point 409°C boiling point 907°C dissolving in acid,alkali,,and ammonia water but not in water It has strong reductibility and adhesive power. It remains stable in dry air but tends to agglomerate in moist and results in alkaline carbonate on the surface of the particle.
