Function:
This thermostat will cut off the circuit automatically in case of overload or overheat.
TOPRO KW series thermal protectors use the same snap-action principle of KLIXON protectors. The bimetal disc senses the heat from the equipment which the protector is installed on. When the temperature of the disc reaches a predetermined calibration point, the disc snaps open the contacts, thus breaking the current path. When the equipment returns to a normal operating range, the protector resets (closes circuit) automatically.

Wire leads of various specs and lengths are at choice as per customer requirements.
A Mylar tube is recommended on the metal shell type to prevent short circuit between the thermal protector metal case and the motor coil or other metal objects.
