Water absorption Testing
ASTM C459, Part 7.0 Water Absorbtion test method .
6 specimens of Magnesium oxide board were cut and left to condition for 7 days at 23C and 50%RH
before weighing. The samples were then submerged in tap water for 24 hours after this
time period, the samples were wiped with a damp cloth and re-weighed. Water
absorbtion (weight%) was then calculated and the results displayed in the table below:
