Borosilicate glass has high durability, high thermal shock resistance, and high electrical resistivity.

Application

Primarily used in HID lighting applications. Borosilicate tubing seals well to tungsten leadwires, making it ideal for flare and exhaust tubing mainly in HID lighting applications. It can also be used in applications such as LCD backlighting and fuses.
