Belt Sway Switch is a protective switch for detecting the meandering (sway or deviation) of belt conveyors, and sends out an alarm signal and an emergency stop signal.
Suited to be used for belt breaka ge prevention and orefalling prevention due to the belt sway. Widely used in iron and steel, cement and chemical plants, thermal power
plants, etc., since it is essential for safety operation of belt conveyors.

 

This switch adopts stainless steel casting, with weatherproof type IP67. The internal contact is the Omron micro switch from Japan, with high contact capacity. It can directly control high capacity contactor, with one normally open and one normally closed output.

 

Operating principle: When the belt is working in the deviation or sway, the edge of the belt drives the edger roller rotating and squeezes it to deviation. When the deviation angle is greater than Grade I action, it outputs a warning signal;when the second deviation angle is greater than Grade II  action, it outputs another shutdown signal. One-polar switch with converting signal can connect the automatic deviation correction device, used to correct the deviation or sway of the belt. And the two-polar switch is used to control the operation of the belt conveyor so that to protect the edge of the belt. Once the belt conveyor recovers its normal operation, the edger roller automatically resets.

The Use of the environment and the installation: This machine is suitable for ambient temperature -25 °C ~ +55 °C, relative humidity less than 85% to maintain a normal work environment. In acid, alkali, salt of the regional work, the user should make a text description to our plant for further processing. Switches should be installed in the fixed bracket of the belt rack to keep balance, and the axis of the edger roller should be vertical with the aurface of the belt. The distance of 50-100mm is more appropriate between the two. The belt is  1 / 3 of the bottom of the the edger roller. Every 100 meters can be installed three pairs of deviation switches (totally 6 units).
