HID lighting system and HID lamp is the abbreviation of High Intensity Discharge Lamp.

HID system component:

(1)    BULB: the xenon and the mercury metal organic halide salts in the emission photo tube inspire the both sides molybdenum pole to discharge and release the energy so as to sparkle.

(2)    IGNITOR: that is an electronic amplifier which is used to receive the current from ballast and to release the voltage to ArcLightSource in all atmosphere. It initializes the plasma panel discharger by transfer the high pulse to the electrode.

(3)    BALLAST: It is an electronic control unit which initializes arc and offer the stabile current source to both bulb and ignitor when in the normal arc condition.
