Natural volume weights are one of a key standards for foodstuffs’ quality levels. Volume weigh meter is a instrument which is used for measuring natural volume weights of foodstuffs such as wheats, corns, and beans. The volume weight is acquired through the way of weighting the object which are freely fallen into volume cylinder with natural state. Unit: g/L.
The electronic volume weight meter includes a electronic measuring system (electronic scale for short in following text), a volume measuring system, and a package case.
The electronic scale which our company developed with weighing sensor of high precise resistance strain gauge, advanced technology of singlechip microprogramming, and printing function of weighing datas is given the advantages such as precise weighing, fast measuring, stable running, simple operating, low consuming, and clear indicating. The volume measuring system consists of a volume cylinder, a middle cylinder, 2 object cylinders, a funnel, a exhaust block, and a slice. The object fed into the object cylinder will freely fall into the volume cylinder through the middle cylinder with natural state, then put the volume cylinder on the electronic scale and acquire the object’s natural volume weight from the indicator.
Connect the meter with power supply, turn on the switch of the electronic scale, press the “Zero” to make the indicator’s reading be “0”, put the volume cylinder and exhaust block on the electronic scale, press the “N.W.” to make the indicator’s reading be “0”, take away the volume cylinder and exhaust block, screw the cylinder base on the operating bottom (size: 300 x 160 x 20mm) with 3 countersunk screws, fix the volume cylinder on the cylinder base by clockwise turning, insert the slice into the volume cylinder’s slot, put the exhaust block on the slice, set the middle on the volume cylinder, set the object cylinder on the middle cylinder. Put the object onto the wooden plate (size: 300 x 300 x 40mm) which has a openning mouth, put the wooden plate’s openning mouth on the object cylinder’s rim, pour the object into the object cylinder with an angle of about 45° and a stable speed till there is space of about 1cm left, take away the object left in the wooden plate. Press the funnel’s trigger with light forces to make the object fall into the middle cylinder freely, hold the junction of the object cylinder and volume cylinder with left hand, take the slice with the right thumb and middle finger and draw it out fastly to make the object fall into the volume cylinder with exhaust block, ate this time, keep the slice’s tip in flat touch on the volume cylinder’s slot (do not let the tip touch the object), insert the slice into the slot smoothly till its grip touchs the volume cylinder wall (do with light forces to prevent the cylinder from being quaked which has an inpact on measuring result). Take away the object cylinder, middle cylinder, and volume cylinder. Press the slice with light forces and move the object left on the slice onto the wooden plate. Take away the slice from the slot and move the volume cylinder on the electronic scale with stable putting, the indicator will show the actual weight of 1 liter of object. If it is need to print, press the “Print” to print the data. Take away the cylinder from the scale for finish, while press the “Zero” to remove the minus reading for zeroing.
When do measuring for second time, do press the “Zero” for zeroing, then operate as above steps.
Every sample should be measured for 2 times. If the difference between 2 times is less than 3g, the average is the object’s actural volume weight. If the difference between 2 times is more than 3g, measure the sample for third time, the average of the 2 close results is the object’s actrual volume weight.
(1). Before measuring, do clean away those which are stuck on the bottom of the volume cylinder and the contact surface of the exhaust block.
(2). Keep the volume’s slot clean, and ensure there is nothing stuck on it.
(3). In operating, when insert or draw the slice, if it is not smoothly or there is blocks or quakes, do measuring again.

Turn on, while the indicator shows “0”. Keep press on the “Zero” and press the “Print” to enter settings, while the indicator shows digits of the decimal point as “P X.XX”. Press the “Zero” till the indicator shows “0”, press the “Print” to show the previous value of Max. loading as “X.XX”, press the “Zero” till the indicator shows “3”, press the “N.W.” till the indicator shows “3000”, press the “Print” to show the previous value of graduation as “d X”, press the ”Zero” till the indicator shows “d 1”, press the “Print”, while the indicator shows “CAL ?”, press the “Print”, while the indicator shows “LOAD”, add weight such as 1000g, and press the “Print” 3 seconds later, while the indicator shows “XXXX”, press the “Zero till the indicator shows ”1”, press the “N.W.” till the indicator shows “1000”, press the “Print” to re-show the “1000” for finish. (above “X”s can be any number in 0~9)
