1. Use and Features:
PE anticorrosive adhesive tape is mainly used for outer surface corrosion protection in water supply & drain, and coal gas transmission steel pipelines and buried steel tanks in petroleum, natural gas, chemical industry, municipal construction. This product has such features as easy construction, no pollution, and therefore is the first choice of outer corrosion protection of pipelines.
This company selects domestically initiated solvent-free co-extruded hot pressing technique to successfully develop high performance PE anticorrosive adhesive tape and its support technique. The adhesive layer consists of butyl rubber and has excellent anti-aging, sealability insulation effect. This product has all the technical indices meeting SY/T0414-98, ANSI/AWWAC209-00 and NACEMR0274-95 and reaching the leading level of the kindred products. In comparison with traditional products made by solvent spreading method, this product has the following features:
1. Uniform adhesive thickness, and good sealing property.
2. Big adhesion of base material and adhesive layer, and no peeling during storage or construction.
3. Good anti-thermal aging and strong anti0ultravoilet light.
4. High tensile strength and moderate elongation at break, helpful for mechanical and manual winding.

3. Use Method:
(1) Remove rust, welding slag, burr, oil and dirt and keep clean and dry. Manual rust removal shall reach Class St3, mechanical rust removal shall reach Class Sa2 and meet Class Sa2 of SYJ4007-86.
(2) Primer application: Manual or mechanical.
(3) Do not apply the adhesive tape according to anticorrosive layer class and structural requirements until the primer surface is dry.
(4) Underground installation and backfill: Do not install the pipeline until it passes the electric spark test.
4. Transport and Storage:

(1) The adhesive tape is protected from direct sunshine, rain and heavy object during transport.
(2) Construction does not begin until this product is stored at about 20°C for 48 hours if it is below 5°C during transport or storage.
(3) This product should be stored in a warehouse at 5~30°C or <75°C away from heat and fire. This product has the shelf life of 12 months.
