Introduction

Lushan ® HF-301 fusion bonded epoxy powder is a thermosetting pure epoxy powder coating designed for three-layer PE/ three-layer PP anti-corrosion pipe. It can form a high performance anti-corrosion system with the middle adhesive and outer layer of high-density polyethylene or polypropylene. The bottom layer of the epoxy powder has good adhesion and excellent resistance to cathodic stripping. The high density polyethylene or polypropylene of the outside has good mechanical properties, water resistance, and weather resistance. The middle layer combines the powder layer with the adhesive layer. The whole anti-corrosion system synthesizes the advantages of epoxy layer and PE or PP layer, which is a very popular technology.

The products meet the new national standard GB/T 23257-2009, oil and gas industry ISO / DIS 21890-1, the Canadian CSA Z245.20-02.

Processing Technology

l         Removing oil, rust, other loose residues, water and so on on the surface.

l         Sandblasting or shot blasting treatment reach to Sa2.5 level, anchor pattern depth reach to 40 ~ 100μm, cleaning dust on the surface to nearly white class, pay attention to the new and old sand should be added evenly to get a stable match.

l         Cleanning pipe surface.

l         Preheating the workpiece (180 ~ 220 °C).

l         Coating Fusion Bonded Epoxy powder on the pipe surface by electrostatic spray with the thickness of 60 ~ 150um.

l         Wound the hot-melt adhesive on the epoxy powder coating at the approximate melting temperature with a minimum thickness of 200um.

l         Extruding and winding the polyethylene surface on the middle adhesive layer at the melting temperature, and compacting the three layers by roller to avoid air bubbles between layers.

l         Cooling the coating layers.

l         Fixing the defects

Notice

l         Coating the fusion bonded epoxy powder on the preheated workpiece according to curing conditions to obtain optimal performance.

l         The middle layer must be coated before powder coating gelled to make two layers together as one.

l         The high temperature of the middle layer and outer PE provide a guarantee for powder curing.

l         This product is non-toxic, non-polluting and difficult to burn, but it should take measures to prevent a large number of suction during operation.

 

Package and Storage

l         Carton packaging, lined with double polyethylene bags, net weight 25Kg.

l         Shelf life: 12 months when temperature below 30 °C.

l         Storing condition: environment of below 30 °C in dry, ventilated and clean, not close to the fire source and heating. The unused portion must be re-packaged when the package was opened in order to prevent moisture absorption from the air.
