LQL-1A Hammer,Discus Cage

1. The cage can resist such a force as produced by a hammer of 7.26kg with a maximum speed of 32 m/s. The cage is installed in such a position that it can prevent hammers from ejecting out of the cage or rebounding to athletes or flying out from top of the cage.

2. In vertical view, the cage for hammer or discus shapes like the letter U. The width of its opening is 6m. The cage is composed of nine pieces of net and two doors. Two pieces of net near doors measure 2.8×10m while two doors 2×10m each, and The other seven pieces of net are 7m high.

3. The cage consists of posts, ground sleeves, doors and rope net. Cage posts are made of aluminum alloy section bars in spec. of Φ89×8.5. Ground sleeves are made up of galvanized tubes in spec. of Φ140×4 and stainless steel stamped parts. It is easy to install by just inserting posts into the ground sleeves. Special buffers of 400mm thick are erected underneath the posts for achieving buffer action once lined up with ground sleeves, which may effectively increase life time of the ground sleeves and the posts as well.

4. Cage net piece is made of single layer rope net, providing double protection. D-shaped shackles will connect the rope net with net support(which is made of round tubes in spec. of Φ32×1.5). As the net can be lifted or lowered through upper pulley on the post, safety factors of the cage can be increased and service life can be prolonged by lowering the net in case of strong winds and heavy rains.
