When using ADSL connection with a telephone or fax machine, it's necessary to put a filter on the line to separate the signals for the modem (higher-frequency ADSL) from the signals for the phone & fax (lower-frequency POTS). Each phone or connection in the house will need a filter.

Please note: you will need to install a filter on each phone in the house to prevent line noise.
