Polar Bear brand Polymer Modified Cementitious Waterproofing Coating is a dual-components material consisting of latex and the dry powdery material which is mixed by factory with quality cement, grinded-up and rigid filling, and additives. The product can permanently integrate with base material, with excellent cohesion, flexibility, durability, and waterproofing performance, so the product has wide range of application in various waterproofing projects.

Performance Features

1. The product is flexible and able to cover the tiny cracks in building for various reasons.

Construction Method
Base Disposal

1. Ensure the base is leveled up without oil stain, release agent, dust, or other scattered matters which affect cohesion
2. The flake-off or loosed concrete must be eliminated, and the bigger holes or cracks must be repair beforehand.
3. The Yin and Yang angle must be modified to circular arc angle.
4. New-poured concrete must be completely dried and hardened prior to being plastered with the product.
5. It is better to dispose the base material, especially what is loose and porous, with the liquor mixed with latex and water at a ratio of 1:1 prior to being plastered with the product.

Base Moistening

Moisten the base course completely with water, and proceed to plaster the agent after the water penetrate into concrete and there is no obvious leftover on surface.

Mixing

Pour latex into clean container and start up electric stirrer, slowly add dry powdery material at a powdery component-latex ratio of 1:0.6, fully stir it for 4-5 minutes to the evenness of paste without agglomeration, and use it up within the recommended time (about 1 hour). The coagulated paste cannot be reused after being added with water.

Construction

Plaster the paste evenly on the disposed base material with scraper or spatula at least 2 layers as per the using directions with the total thickness of 1.5-2.0mm. The second layer must be plastered after the first layer paste slightly dries and hardens without adhering to hand, generally it will take 1-3 hours, and the specific conditions must be based on the denseness and temperature/humidity of base material.

Notices for Use

Polar Bear brand Polymer Modified Cementitious Waterproofing Coating shall be applied under the ventilation environment that the temperature is 5~45 and the comparative humidity is less than 85%, and it cannot be applied in rainy days. The Polar Bear brand Polymer Modified Cementitious Waterproofing Coating has color variance based on the different denseness and humidity in different area of base material. The rain, strong sunshine irradiation, or cooling shall be prevented within 2 days after application of the product, and the tools and equipment must be immediately washed with water after being used..
