 Applications:

1. Catalyst: Nano NiO is a good catalyst in the process of decomposition, synthesis, transformation of organics, such as gasoline hydrogenation cracking, hydrocarbon conversion, heavy oil hydrogenation. NiO is a catalyst to remove CH4, N2, cyanide, helping to dissolve NOx. As a light catalyst to degrade acid red, the function of NiO are obviously excellent in dealing with organic dye wastewater.

2. Ceramic additives and glass coloring agent: Using  NiO in ceramic and glass as coloring agent.

3. Battery electrode: According to research, ruthenium oxide is the best material used as electrochemistry capacitor electrodes. It can not be widely used due to its high price. Nano NiO can replace it in super capacitors. Molten carbonate fuel cell using NiO as cathode, using gas and natural gas as fuel, is a kind of clean energy whose power generation efficiency is much higher. Nano NiO battery has an obvious advantage to charge and discharge ability, which improves electric chemical performance of electrods.

4. Sensor:   NiO is an important gas sensor material in recent years. It has been already used as formaldehyde, CO, and H2 sensors.
