Character Nickel monoxide is green power with density 6.6~6.8, melting point 1990°C. It doesn’t dissolve in water or ammonia water, but in sulfuric acid, metric acid, chlorhydric acid and ammonia water. It will change into nickel sesquioxide when in 400°C,, and turn back to nickel monoxide when in 600°C. When in 1000°C, Nickel oxide is green and yellow color with weak active. The higher temperature, the more density and resistance of nickel oxide will increase, but the solubility and catalytic activity of it will reduce.
