Shrink Labels - Very Decorative & Eye Catching Decorative Shrink Labels are one of the best things to happen in the world of packaging for over the counter products.

No more one needs old paper labels for their bottles, containers. They are not just cost effective when compared to paper labels but also provide high gloss and unique 360 degree coverage for the container. It can also have a matt finish, as per requirement. They can be full body sleeve or half body label. It is also very useful for providing security against seal tampering when used as cap-seal on cap of the container or bottle, or if full body sleeve is applied which seals the cap inside it. Pre-perforation can also be provided just below the cap area, if full body sleeve is applied. This helps the customer to cut only the top of the label and not the complete label and thus the bottom part of the label having brand name and instructions stays on the container forever.

Shrink sleeve labels can either be applied onto the containers/bottles manually by hand or can be applied through a automatic applicator machine. In case it is applied by machine then the labels are supplied in roll form having perforation between the labels, otherwise in case it is applied manually then it is supplied in cut piece form. After the labels are applied onto the containers/bottles then they are passed through a heat tunnel on a conveyer belt where it shrinks and takes the shape of the container. Shrink labels are generally applied onto Plastic Pet Bottles, HDPE Containers, Glass Bottles, Almunium Cans, Composite cans, Tin cans. Shrink film is also used to make multi-packs like combo packs during promotions. Some of the most common applications of shrink label are- FOOD & BEVERAGE products like Packaged Drinking Water, Soft Drinks, Juices, Edible Oil, Pickles, Liquor Bottles etc. COSMETICS like Talcum Powder, Perfumes, Hair Oils, Shampoo and more. PHARMA which includes Eye Drops, Tooth Powder and on medicines in Glass and Pet bottles.
PESTICIDE Bottles and other utility products like Cleaners etc. CD-ROM, DVD packing. Shrink labels are available in 3 substrates namely PVC, OPS , PET.

All 3 have different sets of advantages and short comings which are listed below - PVC Shrink Sleeve Label - It is the most commonly used label across the globe and is very cost-effective. This has a shrinkage of upto 52-58% generally. OPS Shrink Sleeve Label - It is often used for "squeezy" containers as it has high shrinkage of upto 65-70%. OPS is little more cost effective than PET and offers the lowest vertical shrink and thus gives the most consistent finish. PET Shrink Sleeve Label - PET offers the highest percentage of shrink of upto 75-78% and can adapt the shape of any odd shaped container. It is used for wine bottles as it requires high shrinkage at the neck area. Other forms of Shrink Labels are Preforms which are pre-shrunk to help its application on the container. Used as tamper evident cap seal for jars and bottles.

All in all, shrink labels are a must have to increase the visual appeal of a product over the counter. It also helps in restricting duplicacy of your product as it requires state-of-art plants to manufacture it, who obviously will check the genuiness of the client. It also requires the customers to make a one time investment in printing cylinders used for printing the labels, which generally duplicators would avoid investing. Thus shifting to Shrink Sleeve Labels from conventional paper labels is the most appropriate and genuine advice.
