Maiqiang- Primer anti corrosion coating

1 System description

The product is made up of butyl rubber, unsaponifiable resins,tackifier, stability, and solvent.

The primer is applied to the appropriately prepared pipe surface before application of inner layer tape. It is used for improving bonding strength and sealing between the anticorrosion tape and the steel pipeline.It can be applied by hand or machine.

Hand-application :app. 0,2 litre/m2 pipe surface. Machine application:app. 0,15 litre/m2 pipe surface.

  3 Usage

Paint the primer on the pipeline without rust evenly.Waiting until the surface is dry, and then wrap the tape on the pipe tightly and smoothly. For repairing of the local damage of tape, the primer should also be painted first before sticking the tape. Before use, the primer should be shaken or stirred until it is even. If the primer is too thick for evaporation, additional solvent may be used for dilution. 

 4  Storage

It should be stored at a cool and shady place. Far away from high temperature and naked fire. Inversion is strictly prohibited. For temperature below 30 °C, the relative humidity should be less than 75 %.
