Continuous-form paper is a type of printing paper which consists of one or more sheet(s) of paper, perforated at regular intervals so that sheets can be easily separated and also has holes punched along each side so that the paper can be pulled through the printer by a tractor-feed mechanism.

There are many types of Continuous forms:

Stock Forms: Plain / lined / rasterized (zebra) continuous form Pre-printed / Bill Forms: using special design as background / logo printed on the form Computer Envelope Forms: continuous forms that are glued and made like an envelope

Sample of Continuous form products: bill forms, boarding pass, bank PIN# envelopes, scantron form, certificates, and many more.

Carbon vs. Carbonless

Carbon paper (originally carbonic paper) is paper coated on one side, used for making one or more copies simultaneous with the creation of an original document. It is placed between the original and a blank sheet to be copied onto. As the user writes or types on the original, the pressure from the pen or typeface deposits the ink on the blank sheet, thus creating a "carbon-copy" of the original document.

Nowadays we have Carbonless paper or NCR paper which is stain-free alternative to carbon paper and works in a fairly simple way. Carbonless paper has a multi-part form paper system uniquely coated to transmit images from one ply to subsequent plies, with manual or mechanical pressure, without using carbon paper. If Carbonless paper is the answer to your needs, MG has the capability to manufacture up to 8 layers of carbonless paper with variaties of colors (white, yellow, blue, red, green).

Sizes

The standard size of continuous forms is 9.5" x 11" or 14 7/8" x 11" with folding size from 5" up to 17". However, we are capable of printing continuous forms in different sizes and design according to your needs. For non standard sizes, please consult with our specialist.

Our Capabilities and Special Features

We also has special features such as:

Perforation: Perforations on continuous forms can be used on the left and right sides of the form to make a stub so that the lineholes can be easily removed after the form has been through a printer. There are two types of perforation:

Punching: Aside from the holes punched on the perforation sides, we can also punch File holes with different shapes (round, square, triangle, etc) and custom length between holes. The length between holes can be using organized length (same length for every holes) or different lengths.

Spot carbon, specific areas that are coated with carbon for image or text transfer . Please see the illustration below to learn more on spot carbon

Envelope gluing: This method is used for gluing two parts of continuous form on all edges (top, bottom, left, and right) and create an envelope. Usually, in the area that has confidential information, it can have a blockout printed to hide the confidential information. The most common form of envelope gluing is bank PIN# code or salary slip.

We have the solution for all your continuous form needs. Please contact our specialist to consult your needs and we'll be happy to answer all your questions.
