Red rice powder is a fermentation process of rice, red, mainly used for food coloring, is a natural food additive.

Introduction

Red Rice Powder is obtained form monascus by using solid fermentation the rice as raw material. It has striking color, light and heat stability, wide PH plying scope, purity and safety. It can be used as a natural colorant and health-caring food that can produce a rapid reduction of plasma chdesterol and plasma glyceride levels in man. It also conforms to national standard, numbered GB4926-85. 

Characteristics 

1. Red rice powder can't dissolve in water . 

2. Coloring properties are outstanding. In particular, affinity for protein is excellent. 

3. Rather stable in heat but unstable in direct sunlight. 

4. A food color which is stable for such metal ions as Ca++, MG++, Fe++, and Cu++. 

Technological Process:
     Polished Rice→ Immersed in water → Sterilize→Fermentation→Dry → Powder→Kill Bacteria → packed
