Multiple-Stage Blending Reactor : Blend Reactor is formed by n layer of Twin Screw Extruder and various control devices, the value of n is determined according to the requirement. Suitable fields: Suitable for polymer synthetics reaction and physical processing of some special polymer, for example, the preparation of polymer-based nano-composite material, the dissolution of polymer in ionic solvent, the dissolution of polymer in critical gas, polymer degradation reaction and etc. Products Application Introduction: Chemical Reaction Aspect: Compared to conventional reactors, it can perform continuous reaction, the fluctuation of quality in reaction is small and its’ self-cleaning property is good, it is also able to comprehend by using automatic control, especially in the control of the reaction, it can be carried out by fixed point sampling according to the reaction stage; However, as for adding different materials that involve in the conventional type of tank reactor, they can only be added into the reactor according to sequence, but not at fixed points according to the reaction state as our reactor did. For example, in the thermal cracking reaction that used polyethylene as raw materials to produce polyethylene wax, for conventional tank reactor. There are problems such as uneven mixing, uneven heating, uneven reaction and inaccurate control of the sample and etc. Composites with low molecular weight are easily formed and difficult to be removed. Some catalytic additives are difficult to be removed in the later stage of the reaction. These can cause serious quality defects, like the spread of product molecular weight distribution in a much wider range, products can continues having slow reaction in storage area and also slow in reaction during process and etc. As the conventional reactor’s tank has a large volume per unit length, there are likely to explode, flammable and other possible safety hazards. In addition to all these, these conventional reactors; due to less material flow and as the equipment also has no self-cleaning ability, the temperature reading device, the heat exchangers and other measurements and operations will be severely disrupted. Plasticizing Blend Modification: For polymeric materials blending, the equipment normally used is Twin Screw Extruder, which is able to mix and knead plastic and other multi-composite materials. In order to improve the effect of the plastics blending, the method of increasing the aspect of L/D ratio is generally used, making the plastic mixture subject to a longer path of kneading in a Twin Screw Extruder. However, if the L/D ratio is too long, it would be very difficult to manufacture such machinery. However, If the accuracy of the screw and barrel are reduced, and increasing the gap between them, the mixing effect and yield will be greatly reduced; meanwhile, as the L/D ratio increases, the maximum withstand torsion of the mandrel will definitely be reduced, the mandrel might not even able to provide enough torque, resulting in the plastic shear force cannot meets the requirement. In conclusion, the ordinary Twin Screw Extrudercannot meet those higher requirements of plasticizing cut, but, as the L/D ratio of our machine can be extended infinitely, it can meet the highest requirements of any plasticizing shearing process.
