 Having the right dry gas seal control panel is arguably the most important factor in determining your plant's success. It's true; you can have great equipment, well-trained personnel, and a terrific process, but if your compressor goes down and production halts, none of them will make you a dime.

The CYTYGS prevents seal failures using a seal gas pressure intensifier to maintain adequate gas flow. A flow switch signals the intensifier control, which automatically activates and deactivates the intensifier as needed, The intensifier then provides sufficient seal gas flow to prevent unfiltered process gas from working its way back to the seal faces across the inboard labyrinth, clogging the grooves and causing failures.

Designed to deliver a consistent supply of clean, dry, properly pressurized gas to seals, the GCU improves the performance of dry gas seals. Conventional gas panels only incorporate coalescing filters, but the CYTYGS features a knock-out filter/coalescer vessel that removes solid particulates as well as free liquids and aerosols. Additionally, a heater controller monitors and maintains gas temperature to prevent condensation of aerosols in the process gas stream.

Since mistakes due to lack of training of plant maintenance personnel also contribute to seal failure and downtime, the CYTYGS is designed with minimal customer interface connections. It is self-controlled and self-regulated, to reduce the risk of human error.
