Auto Generator Transfer Switch (ATS)
1. 3 incoming + 1 outgoing : It is used to feed the house with the electrical current from three lines (sources). All are single phase. - The 1st come from the national network (NN), - The 2nd come from the local area generator (AG), - The 3rd come from the house generator (HG).
2. The priority : The priority in supplying to the house (load) is as follows: No.1 to the national electrical network (NN), if it exists, even if the other two sources are also exist. No. 2 to the local area generator (AG ) , when (NN) doesn’t exist, and even if (HG) exists. No. 3 to the house generator (HG), when both (NN) & (AG) don’t exist. - NN operated by the government, to supply the city zones, each for a limited time in the day. - AG operated by the private companies to supply the zones of the city with the electricity, also for a limited time in the day. - HG operated by the owner of the house (citizen) , at the time when both (NN) & (AG ) don’t exist.
3 - Consists of : A - power relays, B - metallic box, C - connectors, D - indication lamps (or LED) , E - additional auxiliary contacts ( 1 NO + 1 NC ) , to stop the generator of the house.
4 - The rated current : 30 A
5 - The coils voltages : 220 V AC
