1. Introduction:

For spherical thrust roller bearing, load can be transferred from one raceway to another. Therefore, this kind of bearing can take both radial load and axial load. Another characteristic of spherical thrust bearing is self alignment function, allowing shaft deflection and misalignment between shaft and housing.

The rollers of spherical thrust roller bearing are barrel shaped, since the raceway in the housing is spherical, so they are self aligning. Barrel shaped rollers can take very heavy axial load, and allow high speed rotations.

2. Two types of structure design

E type: With pressed steel cage, combined with the rollers and the bearing ring, inseparable.

M type: copper or steel cage, guided by bearing ring, combined with the bearing ring, the rollers and the cages, inseparable.
