| ACX-CTB Series Current Transformer Over-voltage Protector Product Overview: Current transformer (referred to as CT) in the power system, is widely used in time measurement and control. Normal operation, the transformer secondary side is similar to short-circuit condition, the output voltage is very low. In operation if the secondary circuit open, or a winding flow through the abnormal current (thunder current, over-current resonant capacitor charging current, inductance starting current, etc.), will create several thousand to tens of thousands of volts to open a passing voltage. This is the second system insulation not only to cause harm, but also to make CT and secondary equipment damage, and even endanger the personal safety, cause significant economic losses.
