One Step Canine Distemper Ag Test
THE PRINCIPLE:
The kit is a rapid one-step test based on immuno-chromatographic assay for the detection of canine parvovirus Ag using double antibody sandwich method.
COMPOSITION:
1. 10 pouches each containing one one-step+ CDV Ag cassette with sucker and desiccant
2. 10 tubes with sample extraction buffer
3. 10 single packed swabs
4. One instruction for use
TEST PROCEDURE:
1. Collect sample from eye mucus or nasal cavity with swab.
2. Insert the swab into the diluents tube and agitate sufficiently.
3. Put the test cassette on a plate desk or a plate desk or ground and drop 3 drops of the diluted specimen into the test window “S”. Purple solution will flow laterally to opposite side.
4. Read the test result after about 5-10 minutes. The result is invalid if read after 10 minutes.
INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS
Positive
Two red/purple band appear: one in the control line(C) and the other in the test line (T). The sample should be considered positive for the presence of CDV.
Negative
One red/purple band appears in the control line(C) with no apparent band in the test line (T). The sample should be considered negative for CDV.
Invalid
If no red/purple band appears in the control line(C), or if a band appears in the test line (T) but not in the control line(C), then the test is invalid. It is recommended to rest the specimen using a new testing device.
