2. Equipment features

 

A,General:

The equipment makes use of reverse osmosis membrane to produce purified water in compliamce with requirements of vaious pharmacopoeias across the world. Inclusive of pre-treament apparatus, heat exchange system, 2 pass RO purifiers and seterilization unit, it features easy operation, stable water output, desirable targets, and is widely used in the production of purified water.

Our company will be responsible for equipment design, manufacturing, on-factory testing, on-site installation instruction and final testing. We also bear the responsibility of traceability on material, parts and equipment.

 

3. Process flow chart:

Feed water tank → Feed water pump → Sand filter → Carbon filter → Softener → Softener tank → Softener pump → Safety filter → Fist stage pressure pump → First stage RO unit → First stage RO tank → Second stage pressure pump → Second stage RO unit → Second stage RO tank → Pure water tank  → UV Steriliser → Fine filter → User point

 

4.System operation design

 

Requirements on water that directly comes to RO membrane:

(1)    SDI≤5;

(2)    Residul chlorine <0.1ppm;

(3)    Turbidity <1FTU;

(4)  COD(Mn) ≤1.5mg/L

 

5.System introduction

 

Sand filter-Carbon filter-Safety filter

 

Water that comes from external source is stored in a raw water tank, then is transferred by a pump to sand filter, which can remove particle impurities and other sediments. The raw water tank is designed to keep water supply stable, raw water tank is rendered unnecessary if water supply is stable.

 

Water processed by sand filter comes to carbon filter, which is fairly absorptive to residual chlorine and organic substance. 

 

The cycle concerning washing and back-washing of carbon filter is controlled through pre-set parameters, if the accumulative operation hours hit pre-set time, fitler washing and back-washing begins.

 

RO membrane exserts high requirements on the hardness of feeding water, accordingly softeners are added before RO to reduce hardness. Softeners make use of ion-exchange technology to replace calcium and magnesium ions in the water with sodions for hardness reduction purpose. Regeneration of salt shall be done when ion-exchange resin loses its effectiveness.

 

Raw wter tank is equipped with level controller and ball cock to gard against excessively high liquid level

 

Sand filter and carbon filter come with a set of operational valve unit which give rise to automatic operation and back-washing.

 

Water processed by pre-treatment part satisfies RO water-feeding requirements.

 

n       Main part consisting 2 pass RO membrane filtering unit

Inclusive of the following:

 

Fine filter(5u)- first and second pressure pumps- first and second RO units.

 

The system is incorporated with UV sterilizer and filter for bacteria removal.

 

RO units come with one set of cleaning apparatus to clean membrane with chemicals when membranes are poluted by the feeding water. PLC is also introduced in the system to prevent the accumulation of impurities on membranes by washing the membrane surface for 2 minutes each 2 hours.

 

n       Distribution mechanism

The system includes transfer pumps, distribution diaphragm valves, frequency-variable controllers, steam controlers, and temperature display, UV sterilizer, fine filters, U shaped circumfluence pipe, sampling vlaves, circumfluence water conductivity.
