Character: White powder. The relative density  is 2.534  and the melting point is 1109 centigrade, it is extremely hygroscopic and deliquescence  . It can dissolve  in water ,but is not soluble in ethanol. At 25 °C, 187 grams dissolve in100 grams water.In the saturated solution,the solid matter is K4P2O7 · 3H2O.

Uses: Technical grade is  used for non-cyanide electroplating, surface treatment, high-grade detergents, paints, cleaning agents, dispersing agents, buffer, etc. Food grade is used emulsifier in food processing,   organization modifier, chelating agents, quality improver etc .
