PCM is used for molten iron continuous casting into slab in blast furnace iron making process

Eight Advantages of SLMEC PCM

1. The motor adopts three-phase alternating current variable frequency speed control, so the chain belt speed can be regulated by frequency variation which is advantageous for adjusting and controlling casting speed of molten iron.

2. The pig mold adopts special alloy cast steel, and the average production rate of each pig mold can reach 150~200 tons.

3. There is ball bearing equipped inside the supporting roller to reduce the running resistance of chain belt; there is also dust cover equipped to prevent the dust going into the bearing, which ensures normal operation of roller.

4. The material of link plate is cast steel and there is abrasion proof casing equipped inside. The chain belt driving shaft adopts fix control, so it will not come off easily; the abrasion proof casing and driving shaft can be replaced after abrasion. This will extend the working life of link plate.

5. The drive and driven wheel bearing adopts double row self aligning spherical roller bearing (self regulation type), and it is good for installation and adjustment; the driven wheel adopts non-gear tooth structure which can avoid that chain belt comes off at the driven wheel.

6. Buffering type splashing proof molten iron launder is adopted for casting. During casting process, the spatter loss and overflow loss of molten iron is very little. So the recovery factor is very high and mould pig iron has excellent quality.

7. The cooling adopts back spraying; the water doesn’t spray on the shelling iron slab, and the cooling range is large, iron slab cools faster, and the production rate is higher.

8. There is iron removing device to clear the unfallen iron slab, and it won’t hurt the pig mold and would guarantee the normal operation of equipment. It will reduce iron bonding and labor intensity of workers.
