Nauta Mixers are constructed on the principle of rotation and revolution, using the rotation of the axle to convey material.  At the same time the material is moved up and down the conical vessel by means of gyratory stirring along the vessel wall.  This, combined with the central revolution of the screw, provides fast, uniform and accurate mixing for the product within.  

 

The Nauta Mixer is composed of:

The mixing process occurs via three distinct intermixing actions

The screw agitator, turning on its axis, produces a lifting action as it spirals the materials in an upward direction.At the same time, screws orbiting within the vessel, scrape material from the wall and deflect it into the centre.Material lifted by the screw gravitates downward, thoroughly intermixing with material being spiralled upward. 

Mixing time depends on product characteristics, mixing accuracy and batch size.

Easy to clean: Conical mixers are  designed to be easy to clean via either wet or dry methods through extra large doors on the vessel, using spraying devices, if appropriate.
