Board/Circuit Error Correction Board (Circuit) Error Correction (BEC) is a hardware and software package that detects displacement, stretch, and skew of actual board insertion holes in relation to programmed hole locations. A BEC light source is mounted above the surface of the X-Y positioning table. A BEC light receiver assembly is mounted below the surface of the X-Y positioning table. BEC works this way. The X-Y table locates a board to a programmed reference hole. The BEC light illuminates and shines through the reference hole. The BEC receiver assembly analyzes the position of the light shining through the hole. The BEC receiver assembly is divided into four quadrants as shown.
